Newest Deviations

I realize that I still have not posted any deviations in my gallery.  I want to change that this year!

I hope to get some of my poems and, perhaps, a short story or two posted during 2012.  I hope that people who read them will like them.

* * * * *

I am doing a lot of research on some longer stories which may or may not become book-length.  In several of those stories, I am trying to write from a girl's, young woman's or womans' point of view and I really want to do it properly.

Therefore, what I would like to do is gather material from several sources to allow me to do a study on how girls change between the ages of—deally, puberty, but more likely, for diplomatic reasons—12 to 18 or 20. I am not looking for, nor am I interested in illegal, nude photos of young girls! I also do not want photos from modelling assignments because those are not natural poses and would tell me little or nothing about the person. Additionally, I do NOT want any photos that the girl would be uncomfortable sharing with a stranger.  Nothing that I receive will be shared with anyone!  I have great respect for every person's privacy and refuse to violate their privacy by telling anyone who has shared such information with me or by posting such information.  (I might, possibly, someday attempt to create some composite sketches to illustrate developmental patterns in girls in that age range, but I would leave them faceless and even the body details would probably be rather impressionistic in style, just suggesting rather than revealing specific details.  My drawing talent is probably insufficient to do better than that.)

IF a person decides to contribute photos for my study and they want to do so, it would be quite helpful if they wrote a short description of their experiences during that period of their life, concentrating on the changes they experienced in their emotions, attitudes and preferences.  The changes in how girls dress and their choices concerning clothing change during those years can tell me just as much as the way their expressions, the way they stand or sit, or how they fill out their clothes—including bathing suits IF they choose to include photos like that—tell me about the person. I am interested in learning about the person and the changes they go through as they grow up and mature.

If anyone would like to help me out by providing materials for my study, I would appreciate it greatly.  I wish that I could afford to offer payment for such material, but I have a limited, fixed income that barely covers my family's monthly expenses. :(  All I can truly offer is my gratitude and appreciation.

I have been retired since 1998, but I worked and went to school for many years before that.

I have very eclectic tastes about most things, but some things--like animated gifs--give me migraines so I have to avoid them.

I enjoy beauty in any form that I can recognize, even abstract art, but I admit that there are probably things in which I fail to see the beauty. I feel that models should not all be perfect because people need to be reminded that REAL people are rarely perfect and that even the least perfect person possesses some beauty and that beauty can be brought out by photographers who pose them well. This is especially true of young children because their smiles are among the most precious and beautiful things we can ever be blessed to see!

I am the youngest in my family, so I have learned a lot about many different things from listening to my older siblings, and parents and their friends when they talked about things. They also taught me many things when they took me with them to do different things when I was younger. My sister took me with her to one of her education classes in college when I was only 8 years old. She also chose some of her college books for me to read. My oldest brother taught me how to fish and how to do many other things. He took me with him when he went to work at night during the summer on a shrimp trawler. I was 12 at the time. We caught a hammerhead shark that was about 3 feet long! Those are just a few examples of the wonderful experiences I had while growing up, thanks to older siblings who cared enough about me to take the time to show me about life.

My life can be summed up quite well by:
"I've always been a square peg that was forced into a round hole, then removed and put into a square hole--lots of rough edges, but none of my own making." ~Rob Branstetter (13 years after forced retirement on disability.)

Current Residence: South Texas
Favourite genre of music: Almost anything except rap.
Favourite photographer: Lots and the list grows daily.
Favourite style of art: Anything recognizable, but NOT animated.
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional
MP3 player of choice: Winamp or Foobar--I prefer a lossless format like APE over MP3 because of the increased quality.
Shell of choice: Changes frequently, but not as frequently as my wallpaper.
Wallpaper of choice: Changes frequently—I like variety to keep my mind fresh.
Skin of choice: Human - preferably stretched tauntly over a very nice frame with a moderate amount of padding.
Favourite cartoon character: I only view anime or manga! I have LOTS of anime favs! Too many to list.
Personal Quote: Everything is theoretically impossible, until it is done. Robert A. Heinlein (This is true!)
